[Olive n cat shit]
Being a vegan (well, I cheat a lot…there are some stuff that you don’t think they contain milk, but they do…) opens a door for me to try new things like olives, artichoke and all kinds of leafy greens. Olives are my new favorite. So…one day…I had a long day and went home feeling exhausted. The light near the dining table was off, I put down my bag on the chair and saw one “olive” on the carpet.
I picked it up without thinking because I thought I dropped my olives while eating earlier that day. I walked to kitchen where the light was on for trash can. Then I found out…it was not my olive.
Ok…
First, I never really eat at dining table but my desk.

It was the second week of this semester, my Acer died. I went through five stages of grief in a day. Waited for another two weeks, (Why the wait? Had no idea why I did that.) and bought a Macbook Air. Not too excited. Don’t know if I have enough money for the next few months…
So here’s the problem. I can’t type in Chinese and I don’t want the rubber on my keyboard either.
Here are the tidbits of my boring life.

說得太好了，
美國人很愛說It’s a long day…每天有許許多多瑣事，讓人期待晚上回家的時刻，所以一天好像那樣的長。但每天重複的日子一直累加，卻又感覺一年過得好快。
今年一樣有許多傷心無助的時刻，

今年的聖誕節前的週末和去年一樣，參加IFI舉辦的活動，拜訪美國家庭，體驗他們的聖誕節與日常生活。去年住在Bellefountaine，今年刻意選了另一個城市Mansfield，二個城市都離Columbus一個小時左右的距離而已，光不用舟車勞頓就讓我無比放鬆。每個人會被分配到一個host family, 視他們家庭大小，安排2-5個不等的學生。我和一個在University of Iowa念大學，今年來OSU念博班的大陸女生分配到一起（簡稱Q）。
主人Matt and Jess 年齡其實和我很相近，挺聊得來，Jess是家庭主婦照顧二歲的兒子，她等孩子大了想去學校當老師，目前有三個家教學生（我也記得太清楚了吧…），也帶教會的青年團。Matt 則是在離家走路三分鐘可及的醫院當復健師。
同樣的活動，不同的家庭，今年玩得特別開心，是有記憶以來最開心的聖誕（其實已經忘了11年聖誕我在幹麻…），不想流於可怕的流水帳，以下用概念式紀錄：
